Ski resorts are looking for "action" in summer. 

At Interalpin, Skitrax World was able to present new attractions for the first time. In addition to a large mat ski area with 3000sqm, new tubing tracks and slopestyle parks, freestyle water jumps are developing very rapidly. Even in Finland the first water jump was opened. Dozens of managers of renowned ski resorts came to our stand and ordered mats for the different areas of the chairlifts.

With an 11 percent increase in visitors, Interalpin 2013 set new records. This underpins its undisputed position as the world's leading trade show for alpine technologies. 21,600 trade visitors from more than 70 nations and from all continents came to the Innsbruck trade show from April 10 to 12, ensuring fully booked beds up to a radius of 30 kilometers in and around Innsbruck. Around 60 percent of visitors came from abroad, underpinning the international nature of the leading ropeway industry trade fair.

The Swiss market research institute for trade fair organizers, Wissler & Partner, was commissioned by Congress and Messe Innsbruck to survey visitors and exhibitors on all three days of the trade fair, and according to Armin Wissler, the data is among the best he has ever obtained. 90 percent rated Interalpin as very good or good. Particular mention was made of the many new products, the good overview of the industry and the large and varied range of products. Almost half of the visitors came with concrete intentions to buy. The good mood among exhibitors resulted not only from full order books, but also from the fact that good deals were concluded directly at the stand.

At 50 percent, interest in the summer activation of ski resorts was very high. Interalpin has also been a leader in urban transport technologies for years and demand was correspondingly strong. In addition, the industry is concerned with the topics of environmental protection and sustainability in ski and leisure resorts, as well as modern IT solutions such as apps for winter and summer sports. "80 percent of visitors said they would definitely visit the next Interalpin. On the exhibitor side, too, 80 percent are planning to attend Interalpin from April 15 to 17, 2015. Skitrax will also be there again.
