Swiss mountain resort Lenk expands
Lift entrance is covered with mats.
The Swiss mountain railway Lank has been using our Lifttrax sliding mats for their chairlift entrances for 10 years.
At the Walleck valley station, the mats have been laid out for many years so that skiers can comfortably walk to the lift entrance without scratching the surface of their skis or snowboards. The Lenk ski area is in association with the Adelboden ski area, making it one of the most interesting and most visited ski areas in Switzerland.

It would be so easy with the Lifttrax sliding mats. Many ski resorts with T-bar lifts below approx. 1000m have had to close their lifts due to a lack of snow. In most cases there is still enough snow to ski on the snow-covered sides of the lift, but the snow in the lift track has melted, so skiing has had to be stopped. It didn't have to be! Clever ski resorts have already covered the lift track with our Lifttrax SP skid mats before the first snowfall. First cover the ground with a fleece, then place the mats on top and fix them to the ground with pegs. This means that everything can be quickly dismantled again in spring and stored on pallets.
Straight from the cable car to the piste on Lifttrax sliding mats. The new cable car on the Ochsenkopf in the Fichtelgebirge (GER) will go into operation on 22.12.2023. The installation on the north side of the Ochsenkopf near the municipality of Bischofsgrün comprises 40 ten-passenger gondolas, which are also suitable for families with baby carriages, wheelchair users and monoskiers. The new cable car allows visitors to reach the 1024-metre-high mountain more comfortably, quickly and barrier-free. The gondolas have a transport capacity of around 2000 people per hour. Construction work on the cable car began in March 2023 to replace the old 32-year-old cable car. A particularly helpful attraction will be installed at the cable car exit. A wide track with the fast Lifttrax SP glide mats will be installed to enable monoskiers to glide quickly onto the piste with the skibob immediately after exiting. This allows monoskiers to glide optimally from the cable car exit to the piste.
Winter sports as an attractive year-round offer. Will there soon be alpine theme parks near major cities? It would be feasible in Zuerich, Hamburg, Vienna, Paris or Milan, but also in Singapore, Djakarta, Beijing, Los Angeles, Nairobi, Saigon and Santiago de Chile. When the snow is replaced by Skitrax sliding mats, nothing stands in the way of sliding, carving, gliding, lifting, drifting.
With speed to the lift entrance. For many years, Bergbahn Kitzbuehel (Austria) has been using Lifttrax sliding mats for the lift entry and exit of many chairlifts. Already at the end of October the snow season is opened at Pass Thurn (Resterhöhe). With hoarded "leftover snow" from the last season, an optimal training area can thus be made available to racers of the various performance levels at an early stage. Dozens of national teams train here until the first races of the season start.
Exhibition halls well filled. From 28.09.-30.09.2021 the fair "International Attraction & Amusement fair" (IAAPA) took place in Barcelona (Spain). On 18 m2 stand area we could welcome again many old and new customers. With great security measures the fair could be carried out without any problems.
Mountain railroad relocates lift areas. The Swiss mountain railroad Pizol uses the Skitrax Lifttrax sliding mats for several chairlifts. The red mats in particular were intended to draw more attention to the danger zone. This was achieved by red stripes up to the lift entrance area.

Der Familien Park begeistert die Familien. Eine Zwei-Spurigen Tubing Bahn mit jeweils 40m nebeneinander ist die neue Attraktion im Familien-Park Hubhof in Aggsbach (Wachau in Österreich). Gelieferte wurden in den entsprechenden Längen die geschlossenen Tubtrax-M1 Module. Diese Module M1 decken die gesamte Tubing Bahn ab und sorgen dafür, das kein Dreck oder Steine auf die Rutschfläche kommt. Rostfrei verzinktes Metall sorgt für lange Nutzbarkeit.
The family park delights families. A two-lane tubing track, each 40m long, is the new attraction at the Hubhof Family Park in Aggsbach (Wachau in Austria). The closed Tubtrax M1 modules were supplied in the appropriate lengths. These M1 modules cover the entire tubing track and ensure that no dirt or stones get onto the slide surface. Rust-free galvanized metal ensures a long service life.
365 Tage Tubing Bahn - Winter- und Sommergäste sind begeistert. Viele Wintersportorten betreiben im separaten Bereich neben der Skipiste eine Snowtubing Bahn. Naturschnee und/oder künstliche Beschneiung schaffen schnell eine gute Grundlage für einige Bahnen nebeneinander oder sogar mit rasanten Kurven. Alles nur möglich mit Schnee. Schmilzt der Schnee weg - lässt sich auf dreckigen Schnee noch eine Weile fahren - bis die beliebte Anlage schlissen muss. Sollte es wieder schneien, geht der ganze Produktionsprozess wieder von vorne los - mit viel Aufwand an Schnee und Mitarbeitern. Diesen Aufwand leisten sich die meisten Wintersportorte nicht mehr. Schade, denn es geht auch einfacher und unabhängig vom Schnee.
365-day tubing track - winter and summer guests are thrilled. Many winter sports resorts operate a snow tubing track in a separate area next to the ski piste. Natural snow and/or artificial snow quickly create a good basis for several tracks side by side or even with rapid curves. Everything is only possible with snow. If the snow melts away - you can still ride on dirty snow for a while - until the popular facility has to close. If it snows again, the whole production process starts all over again - with a lot of effort in terms of snow and employees. Most winter sports resorts can no longer afford this effort. That's a shame, because there is an easier way, regardless of the snow.
Plan B für die Skihütten und Skipistenbetreiber. Die größten Restaurants in einem Skigebiet sind meist in der Nähe der Bergbahn an der Talstation oder bei der Ankunft auf der Bergstation. Die schönsten und fetzigsten Hütten liegen aber überwiegende an der Skipiste oder etwas Abseits der Skipiste. Zu Beginn der Ski Saison wird eine extra Piste mit Neuschnee oder Kunstschnee von der Skipiste zur Skihütte angelegt - die dann für die ganze Saison reichen soll. Mittlerweile ein Wunschtraum geworden.

Die Attraktion auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt in Lagos (Portugal). Mit 30m Länge und zwei Rutschbahnen, war diese Tubing Bahn in der Süd Portugiesischen Stadt Lagos das Highlight auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt. Nach den Ankunft wartete schon eine ca. 4m hohe Staffage auf die Lieferung. Schnell wurden die Tubtrax-M1 Modulen aus rostfreien Stahl vom LKW geladen. Darauf wurden die Tubtrax Gleitmatten befestigt und dann nacheinander auf den Holzbrettern der Staffage befestigt. Fertig - schon beginnt der Tubing Spass.
The attraction at the Christmas market in Lagos (Portugal). With a length of 30m and two slides, this tubing ride was the highlight of the Christmas market in the southern Portuguese city of Lagos. Upon arrival, a 4m high staffage was already waiting for the delivery. The stainless steel Tubtrax M1 modules were quickly loaded from the truck. The Tubtrax sliding mats were attached to them and then fixed one after the other to the wooden planks of the staffage. Done - the tubing fun begins.
