In the Buron leisure park near Nesselwang, the operator of the tubing tracks has found an innovative solution for the summer and winter operation of Zipfelbobs and Mini Mono Bobs through Skitrax World. By using special plastic sliding plates, these bobsleds can be used on snow as well as on tubing tracks, allowing them to be operated all year round.
The problem
Many hotels, restaurants and mountain huts offer their guests Zipfelbobs or mini mono bobsleds in winter to enable a fast-paced sliding experience on snow. Until now, there were Tubtrax sliding mats that were suitable for this purpose, but there was a lack of suitable, durable sliding plates. The Mini Mono Bobs and Zipfelbobs are made of simple plastic, usually only 1 mm in diameter at the bottom. This leads to high friction and abrasion on the harder plastic mats.
Solution
The newly developed PE sliding plates offer a solution to this problem. These plates are moulded to the shape of the floor of the Mini Mono Bob or Zipfelbob and screwed under the floor.
