Questions about NordicTrax: Cross-country skiing, skating
  • How wide should the mats be laid out?

Most cross-country ski trails are designed for long stretches of track for skiing back and forth. Therefore, a width of approximately 4 meters is sufficient for two outbound and two return tracks.

  • Where can the mats be used:

Because the NordicTrax mats can be laid out flexibly, the cross-country skiing track can be installed anywhere. They can be fixed to the ground at several points with ground screws to ensure a secure grip and non-slip surface for cross-country skiing.

Questions about NordicTrax: Ski jumping hill outrun
  • Where will the mats be laid out:

From the end of the landing area. This creates a transition into the flat run-out area, which can be used while standing upright or even in a telemark landing.

  • How are the mats attached to the floor?

The mats are either attached directly to the ground with ground stakes or a fleece is placed in between to protect the mats from stones and dirt.

  • Is there a limitation on the expansion?

No. Depending on requirements, the mats can be laid out in the width and length of the ski jump facility.

  • Does the FIS support the installation:

Yes. The mats are "FIS approved". The FIS also believes that these mats should be used at summer ski jumping hills, as this allows training under the same technical conditions as in winter.
