MOUNTAINEERING
Slopetrax makes ski mountaineering possible even in summer. The mats create ideal training conditions for endurance, technique, and fitness – directly on the mountain and regardless of snow conditions.
Ski mountaineering is also on the competition program for the 2030 Olympics.
You can train on our mats even in summer.
Ski Mountaineering – The basis for the summer training of the 2030 Olympic participants.
Ski mountaineering or ski mountaineering
Ski Mountaineering (Skimo) It is one of the fastest-growing winter sports in the world. The combination of a challenging ascent using skins and a technically demanding descent requires the athletes to possess the highest levels of endurance, strength, and skiing technique.
Following its successful Olympic premiere, Skimo is developing rapidly and is also being used at the
2030 Winter Olympics These are among the international highlights. National teams and up-and-coming athletes worldwide prepare specifically for these competitions. But top performances don't only occur in winter. Since glacier ski resorts are only available to a limited extent or not at all in summer, many athletes lack suitable training opportunities.
This is exactly where Slopetrax sliding mats provide the solution.
With the SlopetraxGliding mats can be used to create permanent training courses for ski mountaineering on mountain slopes or along ski jumps. Athletes ascend with touring skis and skins, remove the skins at the summit, and then ski back down on the mats – just like in winter competitions.
This creates weather-independent, year-round usable training facilities for clubs, performance centers and ski associations.
Skitrax thus provides the basis on which tomorrow's Olympians can prepare for their successes at the 2030 Winter Games.
