Specific questions regarding the planning, application and installation

of go-kart systems.

What do I need to consider during installation?
Once the kart track is set up with the side supports, the mats are laid on the track. They are connected in such a way that the entire kart track is covered with the mats.

At the starting area, there are usually two karts parked side by side. To better mark the starting position, colored (e.g., red) mats can be laid out where the four tires are located to provide visual guidance.

Colored mats could also be laid out along the side edges.
  • What do I need to consider during installation?

Once the kart track is set up with the side barriers, the mats are laid on the track. They are connected so that the entire kart track is covered. At the starting area, there are usually two karts side by side. To better mark the starting position, colored mats (e.g., red) can be used as a visual aid where the four tires are located. Colored mats could also be placed along the side boundaries. This effect can also be achieved with fixed safety barriers of different colors (white and red).

  • Is a lubricant required?

To significantly reduce friction between the KartTrax mats and the tires, we developed the eco-friendly lubricant "Slide Liquid." This lubricant is applied to the mats using a paintbrush after they have been installed on the ground. This creates a lubricating film on the mats, allowing the karts to slide and drift perfectly with minimal friction. For longer tracks, we recommend laying down several sheets of fleece (soaked in the liquid). This way, as the karts drive over the fleece, fresh lubricant is continuously distributed across the track by the tires.

  • Which karts may be used:

Both petrol and electric karts can easily use the KartTrax track.

  • What must the operator of a go-kart track take into account:

The operator of a go-kart track must observe the same due diligence obligations as when operating a go-kart track without KartTrax mats. This also applies to safety equipment, e-charging stations or refueling, regulations for indoor operation, helmet requirements (if applicable), etc. We will gladly send further information upon request.

  • Application on different soils

Indoor: Can be laid on wood, asphalt, or cement. A ground fleece is used underneath as needed. Temporary installation on marble floors is also possible. For this, a double-sided adhesive film is sufficient; this is laid out, and the Karttrax sliding mats are then placed on top. Outdoor: Can be laid on wood, asphalt, or cement. A ground fleece is used underneath as needed. If a sandy surface is present, we recommend our DSDF fleece. This is laid on the intended kart track and secured to the Karttrax with long ground stakes.

  • The lubricating fluid "Slide Liquid" reduces friction and abrasion.

Our eco-friendly "Slide Liquid" lubricant ensures low friction and excellent sliding and drifting with the kart. Depending on requirements, strips of fleece are laid out on the track and soaked with the liquid. This allows the karts to automatically transport and distribute the liquid across the entire track, ensuring consistently good sliding properties.
