What are the different installation options?
- Straight track with one or more lanes side by side. Each lane is approximately 2 meters wide with side walls.
- Straight track with a curve towards the end. Here you can feel the centrifugal forces in the final curve.
- Track with several curves (2-3), if the terrain is steep and long enough. A very varied track layout.
- Track with straights and curves through the forest. This track can be designed to be very adventurous.
- Track with straights and curves running in opposite directions, with tunnels and bridges leading to the finish. Can have a very spectacular course.
- Track (approx. 30m) to an approximately 1.80m high ramp with a jump (approx. 2m airtime) and a soft, gentle landing in an airbag. Experience a great feeling of being in the air.
- Track approximately 20m long ending in a water pool or lake with a glide across the water. Great competition possibilities. Excellent for events.

What are the fundamental differences?
Basically, a classic TubTrax track is divided into two types: Continuous, straight track. Here, the start is at an incline of approximately 15-30 degrees and leads straight down to the finish. To ensure the tubing tubes stop automatically, the finish should have a flat slope. To improve braking, we offer our "Stopping Fleece." After 2-4 meters, the tube is gently stopped. If the tuber's speed is still high as they approach the finish, small Stopping Fleece mats in the last third of the track can be used to adjust the speed so that the tube comes to a gentle stop. Track with a concave profile. On this track, the tuber starts at speed and is brought to a gentle stop at the end. The same stopping measures as described above also apply here.

From what point should curve modules be used:
Curved modules are typically used when the track is longer than approximately 40 meters and the terrain is sufficiently steep. For track lengths of 100 meters, two or three curves are sometimes incorporated. If a tubing track lacks sufficient run-out at the end, a roughly 90-degree curve can be installed there, allowing the tuber to enter the curve at speed and then slide slowly to the right or left to a stop.
-
Does a tubing track also work with jumping into an airbag?
Yes. After installing a straight section approximately 30m long, a jump module with a kicker is installed. Depending on the height of the airbag (approximately 1.80-2.50m), the kicker is set at a ramp angle so that the rider, after launching into the airbag, only flies a few meters in the air before landing in the center of the airbag.
-
Can the Epic Tubes also be used in winter?
Yes. Because the Epic Tubes have a robust and firm HDPE hard shell bottom, the tubes can be ridden in the snow in winter and on TubTrax plastic mats in summer.
-
Can simple rubber or plastic tires also be used for the summer tubing track?
No. The friction between the thin plastic of the tire and the TubTrax mats generates a great deal of heat at higher speeds, causing the plastic to melt. This would cause the tire to tear mid-ride and likely injure the rider in the resulting fall. Therefore, they should not be used. Our user guidelines also list which tubing tires are permitted on the tubing track.
-
Are the TubTrax modules compatible with each other?
Yes. The TubTrax modules: TubTrax-M1, TubTrax-M2, and TubTrax-M3 are compatible with each other. The starting gate and the jump ramp (kicker) for landing in the airbag are also included.
